Set Your Intention!

What exactly do we mean by INTENTION?   The working definition is "an anticipated outcome that is intended  or that guides your planned actions".     "The Act of Making a Choice"   In other words, to have in mind a purpose or a plan to direct the mind and to focus our aim.

Lacking intention, we sometimes stray without meaning or direction. But with it, all the forces of the universe can align to make even the most impossible, possible.

Where is your focus in your life or at work right now?   Are you focused on  what you want -- your possibilities, opportunities?    Or on what’s wrong--your problems, limitations, constraints?

What do you want for yourself and your career?  Both now and into the future.

My intention is to transform the conversation around  the career of your dreams  from fear and doubt, to hope and possibility.  Consistent actions and results will follow!

Highly effective people invest little energy on their existing problem situations. Instead, they focus their attention and energy on their desired outcome or on what they want instead of their problems.  They consistently see opportunities where others don't and get through and around obstacles that may stop moderately successful individuals.

A key reason for their ability to do this is that they direct their attention and see the world from what they want  and align their energy and resources toward getting that.  This is one of the most important organizing processes you can learn.

And it can be learned.

Begin by asking yourself or others questions which direct your mind, attention, and energy from a set of obstacles to a set of choices.

Given the unknowns and sometimes craziness of life, there’s never been a more important time to have clarity and excitement about what you want and where you're going.  Setting your intention is the first step.

When should you set an intention? How about every day?  Even many times a day?  Your intention could be to work less and make more, or to find a new career that you are passionate about. It could be to get healthy and physically fit, or to spend more quality time with loved ones or alone.

What is your intention?  Are you satisfied going to work every day at a job you hate?  Isn't it time that you began doing the work that makes you want to get out of bed every morning, excited and ready to go?
